AAA MINOR LEAGUE BASEBALL RULES

All play will be subject to the official Babe Ruth rules, as applicable to each division, subject to the following local rules:

Games are played on a 46/60 field.

Games are 6 innings.

1 youth umpire

The dropped third strike rule does not apply.

No balks.

The infield fly rule does not apply.

No Bunting is allowed.

Any pitcher who hits 3 batters in a game cannot continue to pitch in that game.

Players may steal 2nd or 3rd on a pitched ball only.

There is no stealing on an overthrown or dropped ball (except for a pitched ball).

Players cannot leave the base before the ball crosses the plate.

Runners may advance only one base on a steal (players cannot advance again on an overthrow, for example).

Whenever a team is ahead  by 7 or more runs, the team that is ahead is not permitted to steal.

Absolutely NO STEALING OF HOME - including on wild pitches.

Head-first sliding is not permitted under any circumstances except when returning to a base.

Players must slide into any base if there is an  attempted play.(Including Home)

Any player who slides head first into any base  or fails to slide into a base if there is an attempted play, will be called out.

The 5-run rule applies except for the last inning.

After a team scores 5 runs in any inning except the last inning, the sides will switch.Any inning that starts after 90 minutes should be considered the last inning if the visiting team scores 5 runs; thus the 5 run rule will be waived.

A new inning cannot begin after 1:45 of playing time (playing time begins when the first pitch is thrown).  This rule is in effect regardless of field availability after the game.

All games will stop after 2:15 of playing  time regardless of score or progress. At 2:15 the game will be called and the score reverted to the last full inning.
