AAA MINOR LEAGUE BASEBALL RULES
All play will be subject to the official Babe Ruth rules, as applicable to each division, subject to the following local rules:
Games are played on a 46/60 field.
Games are 6 innings.
1 youth umpire
The dropped third strike rule does not apply.
No balks.
The infield fly rule does not apply.
No Bunting is allowed.
Any pitcher who hits 3 batters in a game cannot continue to pitch in that game.
Players may steal 2nd or 3rd on a pitched ball only.
There is no stealing on an overthrown or dropped ball (except for a pitched ball).
Players cannot leave the base before the ball crosses the plate.
Runners may advance only one base on a steal (players cannot advance again on an overthrow, for example).
Whenever a team is ahead by 7 or more runs, the team that is ahead is not permitted to steal.
Absolutely NO STEALING OF HOME - including on wild pitches.
Head-first sliding is not permitted under any circumstances except when returning to a base.
Players must slide into any base if there is an attempted play.(Including Home)
Any player who slides head first into any base or fails to slide into a base if there is an attempted play, will be called out.
The 5-run rule applies except for the last inning.
After a team scores 5 runs in any inning except the last inning, the sides will switch.Any inning that starts after 90 minutes should be considered the last inning if the visiting team scores 5 runs; thus the 5 run rule will be waived.
A new inning cannot begin after 1:45 of playing time (playing time begins when the first pitch is thrown). This rule is in effect regardless of field availability after the game.
All games will stop after 2:15 of playing time regardless of score or progress. At 2:15 the game will be called and the score reverted to the last full inning.
